In my office and when I am working with golfers and golf professional I often hear that people do not know what the CORE is…I wish it was an Acronym for some profound strength, flexibility and stability area. CORE is more of a concept than a specific area. The area the CORE covers is from your Gluteal muscles up and wrap around to your sternum (breast plate). The core has several muscles involved from ones that stabilize the spine to muscles that help your legs move!
SO WHY IS IT SO POPULAR?
C: Can explain an entire body weakness with one word.
O: Optimize the body through stabilization and movement.
R: Reaching about and beyond your current potential
E: Efficiency starts here
The most important part of my acronym is the last letter. EFFICIENCY! In order to have a functional, strong, stable, and healthy body you need to have a CORE that is being trained and used correctly. Our body is dynamic and able to adapt, but the unfortunate thing is we can start to adapt in bad patterns. So an increasingly functional CORE is nothing without a fully optimized and healthy nervous system.
Properly trained CORE allows for increased distance, accuracy and efficiency.

Monitor your grip pressure and arm pressure; because it will affect the way you hit the ball. Your shoulder and forearms should be free of tension; after all the more tension you possess you can expect your game to be affected in a bad way.
