Many of you have asked questions about the newest swing craze to hit the scene, the Stack and Tilt swing method. This swing has made it all the way to the big leagues as TOUR players like Aaron Baddeley and others have started playing it. We will try and break the swing down for you you to help you understand what it is and how it can make it easier for some golfers to hit the ball more accurate and solid. Golf swing instructors Mike Bennett and Andy Plummer have devised this swing method. They have a stable of PGA and Nationwide tour players, so they got attention very quickly.
While not for everyone, it basically involves keeping your axis centered over the ball ("Stacked") and then rotates around this axis ("Tilt"), with the weight starting slightly forward at address, and continuing to shift forward throughout the swing.Removing the shift of weight from back to forward may help eliminate problems associated with a "reverse pivot" or incomplete weight shift, and result in more consistent ball striking -- and oftentimes more distance!
