When playing a greenside bunker shot, imagine the ball sitting atop and in the center of a $100 dollar bill. Make a long and languid full swing keeping your weight forward and splash the imaginary C-note onto the green.
You will be pleasantly surprised to see the ball land softly and safely on the putting surface. When in a fairway bunker, imagine the ball sitting in the same position. However, this time make an effort to have Mr. Franklin still sitting there when the shot is complete! T
his will ensure clean contact giving you optimal distance and controlled spin.
Two good concepts to remember for bunker play are:
1. When in a greenside bunker, a good miss is catching too much sand (provided the ball gets out!).
2. When in a fairway bunker, a good miss is catching a little too much ball (provided the ball misses the lip!).

Monitor your grip pressure and arm pressure; because it will affect the way you hit the ball. Your shoulder and forearms should be free of tension; after all the more tension you possess you can expect your game to be affected in a bad way.
